Folkestone welcomed Vigo to the New Burlington Ground, with the visitors currently sitting in the relegation zone of Kent 2.

Stones started the game with great intensity, immediately putting Vigo under pressure inside their 22-metre zone. Their dominance in possession and strong forward drives soon paid off. Following a lineout, Folkestone strung together a series of crisp interpasses, allowing Alex Price to power over the try line. Ollie Jordan-Smith added the conversion, giving Stones a 7-0 lead in the 15th minute.

From the restart, Folkestone maintained their attacking momentum with strong, direct running, once again pinning Vigo deep inside their own half. However, a few unforced errors allowed the visitors to counter-attack into Stones' 22. Vigo were awarded a penalty in the 33rd minute but failed to capitalize on the opportunity.

Regaining possession under their own posts, Stones launched a swift counter-attack with excellent interplay between forwards and backs. This culminated in Ollie Jordan-Smith crossing the line for a try in the 36th minute, which was converted by Seyhan Fell to extend the lead to 14-0.

Vigo responded by regaining possession from the kickoff and piecing together some promising attacking phases. However, their momentum was halted when Charlie Watson intercepted a pass and sprinted 60 metres to score a converted try in the 43rd minute, giving Folkestone a commanding 21-0 lead at halftime.

The second half began much like the first, with Stones piling the pressure on Vigo’s defense. Their relentless attack soon led to Charlie Watson scoring his second try in the 53rd minute, though the conversion was missed, leaving the score at 26-0.

Sensing a bonus-point victory, Folkestone continued to dominate possession and territory, forcing Vigo back into their 22. A powerful lineout drive from the forwards resulted in a penalty try in the 56th minute, securing the all-important bonus point and stretching the lead to 33-0.

As the match wore on, Vigo began to tire, and gaps started to appear in their defense. Folkestone capitalized on this in the final play of the game, with Dave Jarvis crashing over for a converted try, sealing an emphatic 40-0 victory.
